University of Nebraska–Lincoln Institutional Equity and Compliance UNL is committed to creating a campus that is accessible to persons with disabilities. The Accessibility Specialist will play an important role in the University’s accessibility efforts, education and training programming, and overall compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), Sections 502 and 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973, Section 508 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1998, and other state and federal laws and regulations pertaining to persons with disabilities. The Accessibility Specialist will report to the ADA/504 Compliance Officer. They will assist with, among other duties, implementing the procedure for accommodating faculty and staff with disabilities; ensuring implementation of accommodation plans; assisting with ADA compliance for the built environment; and assisting with technology accessibility.
