- Working knowledge of advertising mediums, tactics, and operations.
- Exceptional oral and written communications skills.
- Some skill in using multimedia tools such as Adobe Creative Suite and PowerPoint
- Demonstrated skill in working effectively in a team setting to achieve goals.
- Demonstrated ability to implement policies and procedures effectively within a decentralized setting.
- Demonstrated ability to cultivate and maintain effective relationships with University departments, faculty, staff, and students and outside vendors, agencies and contacts.
- Demonstrated ability to use the web, news media and social networking sites for marketing purposes.
- Knowledge of project research, creative brief development, messaging, and effective ideation for application across print and digital media.
- Demonstrated ability to lead multiple projects simultaneously and work independently.
- Considerable professional experience in copywriting and development of creative content for marketing and advertising campaigns.
- Some knowledge of web accessibility standards and multimedia and HTML5 development processes.
- Considerable experience with branding, marketing and communications in a professional setting.
- Working experience in a marketing or desktop publishing environment
