Location/Hours: Our Davenport, Iowa location; as a part of the greater Iowa market. This is mostly an in office position, but it does offer flexible working hours. The individual in this role would be expected to work core business hours, with other work hours being flexible.
Position Summary:
Reporting to the President of the Iowa business division, the Regional Sales Director helps coordinate the sales process from prospecting and lead generation through contracting. The role is responsible for performing a variety of projects and tasks related to the sales process, including but not limited to, conducting industry research, prospecting, developing client proposals, analyzing and forecasting sales revenue, and co-managing an account list of their own.
The Regional Sales Director is a member of the Iowa sales leadership team. The individual in this role must have initiative, the ability to prioritize and execute in a fast-paced environment, and the ability to manage multiple, complex tasks. An effective Regional Sales Director needs to be tech savvy, financially literate, an excellent communicator, and possess organizational, collaborative, and client service skills.

Responsibilities:
- Build a high-performing team; provides motivation, coaching, guidance and support to ensure individual and team success
- Seeks to hire results driven high performing sales professionals
- Sets sales goals, develops and executes strategies to win new business
- Generates new business by researching new prospects and following up on sales leads
- Participates in networking events and organizations to build leads
- Establishes and maintains customer relations to grow sales revenue
- Consults with perspective clients to assess advertising needs
- Partners with Amplified Digital and other Lee divisions for customized solutions and proposals
- Develops and executes sales proposals; close sales
- Manages a pipeline to optimize conversion and account growth (CRM)
- Become proficient in assigned business sectors, with an eye on emerging and growth sectors
- Bachelor's degree in business administration, communications, psychology, organizational development, marketing, or related field.
- 5 to 7+ years of experience in sales leadership, business operations, or a related field that is sufficient in successfully performing the primary responsibilities listed.
- Successful record of communicating with high-level clientele over the phone and in person, demonstrating professional demeanor with attention to client service.
- Strong knowledge of CRM and AdTech software functionality, and account research tools.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and data analysis.
- Strong analytical skills to interpret sales data and make data-driven decisions.
- Excellent project management skills and demonstrated ability to prioritize and coordinate multiple projects under pressure.
