High School Sports Reporter
The St. Louis Post-Dispatch is looking for a hard-charging and digitally focused reporter to help lead our coverage of high school sports. We want someone who is not only interested in prep sports, but can also bring new ideas and approaches as we take our coverage to new heights. You will handle a range of stories -- game coverage, features and profiles, rankings, all-area teams. But we also want a writer who goes beyond the scores to find interesting stories about players and coaches, to spot trends and to find dynamic tales. The ideal candidate will be able to develop strong sources across a range of sports. You will also contribute to multi-media work, including podcasts and videos. You will be part of a team covering a wide territory in a metropolitan area of 2.8 million people - offering plenty of opportunities to develop your skills and produce first-rate sports journalism. Previous experience with high school sports
coverage is preferred. A strong social media presence is a must. Please include 6-8 writing samples when applying.
