Job Posting: Firefighter/Paramedic, FF/AEMT, FF/EMT-B – Full and Part time

Kansasville Fire & Rescue Department (KFRD) is seeking highly motivated, professional Fire/EMS personnel to establish an eligibility list for the position of full time and part-time FF/Paramedic, FF/AEMT and FF/EMT-B. The Town of Dover provides Paramedic level Emergency Medical Services, responding to approximately 1000 calls for service annually. KFRD provides Fire & EMS services to the Town of Dover and Town of Brighton Residents.

Essential Duties:

  • Respond to calls for emergency services
  • Provide BLS/ALS and first aid treatment in accordance with laws, protocols, and directions
  • Complete reports documenting incident data, patient assessment and treatment
  • Operate radios and other communication equipment appropriately
  • Perform general maintenance work of equipment, vehicles, apparatus, and facilities
  • Assist with conducting Fire Inspections
  • Maintain sanitation of apparatus and facilities
  • Conduct Fire Inspections, as needed
  • Present Fire Prevention and Public Education activities to the public, as needed
  • Participate in monthly department general meetings, Fire and EMS trainings
  • Other duties as assigned

 

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Minimum age 18 or older at time of hire
  • Valid Driver’s License with a satisfactory driving record
  • High School or Equivalency diploma
  • WI State or National Registry Paramedic, Advanced EMT or EMT-Basic
  • State of Wisconsin Firefighter 1 certification required within 6 months of hire

 

Starting Salary Range: Depending on certifications and experience

Paramedic: $23 - $26 per hour                                             

Advanced EMT: $20 – $23 per hour

EMT – Basic: $18 - $20 per hour

Candidates must successfully pass oral interview, fitness for duty physical, drug screen and background investigation. A 12-month probationary period is required.

Those candidates possessing other pertinent experience, certifications and/or training may receive additional consideration. Veterans are encouraged to apply.
