JOB SUMMARY:
The Digital Media Specialist II collaborates directly with the Sr. Creative Director to maintain and enhance the Coppin State University brand marketing collateral. Their primary responsibilities include graphic and production design and extends to capturing photographs and videos when needed. This creative content will effectively showcase the University's culture, aiming to attract a diverse student body. Additionally, the Digital Media Specialist will extend support to various university departments based on priority needs. This role plays a crucial part in providing creative solutions and marketing materials to support Enrollment Management, Admissions, and other campus departments, schools, and colleges in their efforts related to enrollment, retention, and overall marketing endeavors.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Graphic Design: Providing strategic graphic design services to various departments across the university as needed, prioritizing requests based on urgency and importance. This may involve designing marketing collateral, promotional materials, banners, flyers, etc.
  • Photography and Videography: Capturing high-quality photographs and engaging videos that showcase the university's culture, facilities, events, and activities. These visuals are crucial for attracting prospective students and engaging current ones.
  • Collaboration: Working closely with the Sr. Creative Director and other team members to brainstorm ideas, develop concepts, and execute projects effectively.
  • Supporting Enrollment and Admissions: Assisting Enrollment Management and Admissions departments by creating marketing collateral and creative assets that support their efforts in attracting and retaining students.
  • Client Communication: Liaising with internal clients from different departments, schools, and colleges to understand their needs, provide updates on project progress, and ensure satisfaction with the delivered work.
  • Creative Problem-Solving: Using creative thinking and problem-solving skills to overcome challenges and deliver innovative solutions that meet or exceed the expectations of internal and external stakeholders.
Required Qualifications

EDUCATION:
  • Related Bachelor's degree or equivalent required.
EXPERIENCE:
  • At least five (5) years relevant experience.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
  • Knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite, Microsoft Office 365.
  • A high level of professionalism in all exchanges.
  • Self-motivated with strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • A high level of discretion and strong decision-making skills.
  • Ability to work effectively with a team and with many diverse constituencies in a university environment.
