The City of Rocky River, Ohio is looking for experienced and dedicated Police Officers to serve and protect our community. This officer will perform a variety of job duties, including patrolling the city to prevent crime and enforce city and state laws. Applicants shall conform to all minimum requirements of the Civil Service Commission Rules for appointment unless otherwise stated herein and shall meet the following pre-requisites:

a. must have previously been employed with an Ohio political subdivision as a full-time as a full-time patrolman for a Rocky River patrolman position.

b. Applicants for the position of patrol officer shall meet the following additional pre-requisites at the time of application and appointment:

• Applicant's current or previous employment shall have been the result of Civil Service examination process for patrol officer.
• Applicant must be OPOTA certified/certifiable.
