BSN Graduated from an approved school of nursing. (Preferred)
Minimum Work Experience
2 years Hematology/Oncology/BMT, Critical Care or Blood Bank experience Required
Functional Accountabilities
Aheresis Management
- Independently and safely perform the following procedures Extracorporeal Photopheresis (ECP),hematopoietic progenitor cells (HPC),
- apheresis, white cell reduction, Therapeutic Plasma Exchange (TPE), granulocyte collection and all procedures related to treatment through transfusion medicine.
- Be aware of risk factors and make clear decisions based on risk.
- Communicate clearly with patients and families; Communicate to reflect development of plan of care and ability to advocate to meet patients' needs.
- Independently manage care of patient with multiple types of central lines (broviacs, port-a-cath, PICC lines, vortex ports etc) and peripheral intravenous lines
- Contribute to Magnet re-designation as evidenced by independent updating of professional profile and initiation of council involvement, committees, task forces and/or community outreach.

- Model proper use of the currently identified hand off processes.
