California Assisted Living Association

The California Assisted Living Association (CALA) is the only association solely representing the state's Residential Care Facilities for the Elderly, which encompass Assisted Living, Memory Care, and Continuing Care Retirement Communities. Members have access to a wealth of tools and resources to support day-to-day operations and quality care for residents, as well as the opportunity to participate in successful, ongoing advocacy efforts to help shape policy and clarify regulations.

Position Summary

CALA is looking for a professional Administrative Assistant who will be responsible for administrative support and coordination of the board of directors and various committees, association events, internal operations and the President & CEO.

Primary Responsibilities

* Manages calendars and agenda packages for quarterly board and committee meetings

* Maintains software for educational program development and provides support to users

* Collects, maintains lists, and communicates with trade show exhibitors

* Tracks and develops system for strategic plan management

* Assists with membership benefit fulfillment

* Manages staff travel

Work is currently conducted in a hybrid model, with three days in the office and two days remote.


Qualifications and Experience

* Excellent organizational, interpersonal and problem-solving skills

* Excellent written and verbal communication skills

* Ability to work individually and collaborate with team

* Proficient software skills to include Microsoft Office Suite

* Experience with relational database, iMIS preferred

* Associate's Degree or equivalent work experience

* Three years of successful experience in a field related to this position
