Uline's 200+ person IT Department is working on some of the largest and most challenging custom development projects in the Chicago and Milwaukee areas. We are undertaking an impressive modernization initiative to replace our legacy systems. Whether we’re improving our customer experience or supporting our internal business units, Uline's IT Department seeks to do it the best way, without limitations.

With our rapid growth and large scale projects, we need passionate employees to master our core business functions. You will work to understand Uline’s systems, applications and technical platforms and their relationship and impact on the business. You will serve as a liaison to the business and own stakeholder relationships. As an Associate IT Solution Analyst, you will help in identifying and understanding business needs along with supporting the delivery of IT solutions that solve them.

Joining IT’s entry-level associate program allows you to gain hands-on experience in various functional areas within the department. You’ll have ongoing support through leadership shadowing opportunities and participation in our mentoring program. Once you complete the program, you’ll partner with your manager to identify a role that fits your interests, career goals and the needs of the organization.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Serve as a liaison between business and IT for solution development.
  • Establish business and technical relationships.
  • Facilitate identification and articulation of business problems, needs and requirements.
  • Plan, elicit, capture, analyze and validate business, functional and technical requirements.
  • Produce timely and high quality requirements-related work products, including requirement specifications, process flows, mock-ups and wireframes.
  • Plan and coordinate system and user acceptance testing.
  • Perform current state analysis across process and technology.
  • Author a high quality User Stories, Features and Epics.
  • Participate in triage of bugs and defects.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
  • Bachelor's degree in information technology, computer science or related field.
  • Ability to participate in multiple, concurrent projects, activities and tasks under time constraints.
  • Ability to effectively interface with all levels of Business and IT.
  • Exceptional writing, communication, teamwork and influencing skills that fosters a collaborative and continuous improvement environment.
  • Excellent facilitation and organizational skills.
  • Critical/analytical thinking and problem solving.
